Coach Jordan started playing lacrosse in eighth grade. In his freshman year, he had push himself hard enough to win a varsity attack position at Wootton High School. In 2008, he led the team in scoring and assists and finished with 94 points his senior year. Montesano was awarded honors 1st team All-Division, 1st team All-County, All-American for the state of Maryland, state All Star and honorable mention All-Met.
After high school, Jordan Montesano played lacrosse for Greensboro College in North Carolina. In 2010, he began coaching youth lacrosse alongside Jon Romm for Rockville and by 2011, he was coaching travel teams for Bethesda and Next Level Lacrosse. His first step into high school coaching was at Northwest High School in which he lead the 2012 JV team to their first winning season with a 6-3 record. After second winning season at Northwest, he was recruited back to the team he helped lead to their three regional championships, 2006, 2007, and 2008. Wootton High School wanted him back as both a leader and mentor and put him at the helm of the JV squad.
